Cărtureşti in the USA via RCINY |
|
|
It may be hard to believe that a Romanian bookshop opens in the heart of New York City, but that's exactly right. The "fabulous Romanian book'n'tea shop" (Frommer's description of Cărtureşti) met the amazing Romanian Cultural Institute to provide a long awaited access gate to what is hot now in the Romanian cultural space. Together they commit to travel and present across the ocean a fine selection of books, film and music (in Romanian and English). Also, they stylishly redesigned a space for Romanian culture lovers on 3rd Avenue at 38th Street, Midtown Manhattan, where you can have a quick look or linger, with a cup of tea, to browse through them all. And whether you live in New York City or elsewhere in the US, order here what you like or send us your request (and we'll make sure to get it for you).
